Ponte
Uma ponte entre blockchains conecta duas blockchains para que informações e ativos possam circular entre elas. O ethereum.org diz que três formas se destacam: bloquear os ativos na rede de origem e emitir na de destino, queimar na origem e emitir no destino, ou trocar ativos com outra parte de forma atômica. As pontes baseadas em confiança (trusted) dependem de um conjunto externo de verificadores, enquanto as pontes sem necessidade de confiança (trustless) dependem das redes conectadas e de seus validadores. O CCTP da Circle move a USDC entre redes por queima e emissão, sem pools de liquidez de ponte.
