USD1 stablecoin data
Data card for USD1: on-chain issuance in the 30 days to 31 October 2026, issuer freeze and seize acts, and the freeze function of each contract, measured by the Stablecoin Scanner (ACHIVX).
Issuer and rules
What issuer documents and public registers say about USD1, each row with its source. Register rows give the register's own date or the date we checked it.
| Fact | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Issuer | BitGo. Legal entity: BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. Quote: "USD1 is issued and redeemed by the Company, and the USD1 brand and certain associated trademarks are owned and controlled by World Liberty Financial, Inc. and SC Financial Technologies, LLC" | landing.bitgo.com |
| Issuer (second source) | Quote: "World Liberty Financial does not issue or custody USD1 directly." | docs.worldlibertyfinancial.com |
| Type | Category: fiat-backed. BitGo says USD1 is 100% backed by short-term US government treasuries, US dollar deposits and other cash equivalents. | bitgo.com |
| Redemption | Minting and redemption are available only to registered BitGo customers with an active account in good standing; holders without a BitGo account can transfer USD1 but have no direct redemption right. BitGo says it typically initiates transfers within two business days of a compliant redemption request. | landing.bitgo.com, bitgo.com |
| Reserves | As of 30 September 2026. Attester: KPMG LLP (examination). BitGo’s USD1 reserve report for September 2026, examined by KPMG LLP: at the 30 September 2026 report date, total redemption assets $4,416,592,901 against 4,416,180,490 USD1 redeemable tokens outstanding. | landing.bitgo.com |
| Freeze | The issuer can freeze addresses. Quote: "BitGo reserves the right to block certain blockchain wallet addresses from transacting the Coins, and, if such addresses are BitGo custodied addresses, freeze associated Coins (temporarily or permanently) that BitGo determines, in its sole discretion, may be associated with illegal activity or activity that otherwise violates these Terms ("Blocked Address")." | bitgo.com |
| Regulation: United States (federal) | BitGo says BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association is a national trust bank chartered and regulated by the OCC. | bitgo.com |
| Regulation: United Arab Emirates (ADGM) | Listed in the ADGM FSRA Consolidated List of Accepted Fiat-Referenced Tokens as of September 1, 2026 (list date), checked 2026-11-01. Accepted networks on the list: BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Plume. List note: "Inclusion of an FRT on this list does not imply acceptance of that FRT for use when serving clients in jurisdictions outside ADGM." | assets.adgm.com |
| Regulation: European Union | Not found in the ESMA interim MiCA register of e-money token issuers (checked 2026-11-01; searched for "USD1", "BitGo", "World Liberty"). | esma.europa.eu |
| Regulation: Hong Kong | Not found in the HKMA register of licensed stablecoin issuers (checked 2026-11-01; the register lists 2 licensees; searched for "USD1", "BitGo", "World Liberty"). | hkma.gov.hk |
| Regulation: Japan | Not found among the electronic payment instruments handled by the registered providers in the FSA register as of 27 August 2026 (checked 2026-11-01; searched for "USD1", "BitGo", "World Liberty"). | fsa.go.jp |
The ADGM list names "World Liberty Financial" in its AFRT Issuer column. World Liberty Financial’s own docs say “BitGo is responsible for the issuance, custody, minting, and redemption of USD1, subject to applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.” and “World Liberty Financial does not issue or custody USD1 directly.” BitGo’s report says USD1 is issued and redeemed by BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. (the Company). BitGo and World Liberty Financial therefore agree; the only difference is the ADGM AFRT Issuer column.

The scanner gives no issuance figure for USD1 on Tron.
Mints and burns the scanner decodes on the networks it covers, not the issuer's total issuance.

The scanner notes that every act is something the issuer did; it says nothing about who the address belongs to or why.
Freeze function in the contract
What the USD1 contract on each network lets the issuer do, from the scanner's token registry (read at build time, no build date).
| Network | Contract | Deployment | Freeze function | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BNB Chain | 0x8d0d000ee44948fc98c9b98a4fa4921476f08b0d | native | freeze and seize | stablescan.achivx.com/bnb-chain/stablecoin/usd1 |
| Ethereum | 0x8d0d000ee44948fc98c9b98a4fa4921476f08b0d | native | freeze and seize | stablescan.achivx.com/ethereum/stablecoin/usd1 |

Settlement volume
The scanner publishes no organic settlement figure for USD1 alone; its per-coin volume is raw, and this site does not print raw volume. Organic figures exist only for all stablecoins on a network together: see organic settlement by network.

How these figures are made
- Organic, not raw. Settlement figures are the scanner's organic figures, with round trips and bot churn removed. Raw settlement volume is not printed, and no field the scanner marks as overflowed is used.
- Coverage: 7 networks (Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum, Optimism, Solana, Tron). Networks, coins and wallets the scanner does not cover have no figures here.
- Read at build time. Figures are read from the Stablecoin Scanner (ACHIVX) when this site is built, not live in your browser. Each row gives its window, the scanner's build date and the scanner page it comes from.
- Not a reserve or solvency claim. Exchange and bridge balances are on-chain reads of the wallets the scanner can attribute: a floor of their on-chain stablecoins, not their reserves or liabilities.
