Türkiye: crypto and stablecoin regulation (as of 1 November 2026)
Türkiye regulates crypto-asset service providers (kripto varlık hizmet sağlayıcılar) under the Capital Markets Law No. 6362, as amended by Law No. 7518 in 2024. A service provider must obtain permission from the Capital Markets Board (Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu, SPK, also CMB) to be established and to start operating. A 2021 regulation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB, also CBRT) bans the use of crypto assets in payments. No stablecoin-specific provision was found in the texts this page uses.
