CASP (MiCA)
A crypto-asset service provider (CASP) is MiCA's term for a legal person or other undertaking whose business is providing crypto-asset services to clients on a professional basis and that is allowed to do so under Article 59. The services include custody and administration for clients, operating a trading platform, exchanging crypto-assets for funds or for other crypto-assets, and executing orders for clients. In the EU, only authorised CASPs and listed financial firms such as credit institutions may provide them.
